What We Know About the Equinox EV

The Chevy Equinox EV was just unveiled! With the first-ever all-electric Equinox, Chevy’s top-selling SUV changes the game in a way never done before. The electric Equinox harnesses the power of Chevrolet’s Ultium Platform. It will join several of the brand’s most popular models that have an electric version in the 2022 lineup, like the electric Silverado and Blazer. The Equinox’s All-Electric Future

Starting at an estimated MSRP of around $30,000, the Equinox EV offers customers an affordable, functional compact SUV. Scheduled to hit dealers in Fall 2023, it is planned to launch with both fleet and retail versions, as well as two trim levels.

Steve Hill, Vice President of Chevrolet, said, “The Equinox has always played an important role for Chevrolet as the second-highest selling brand nameplate. Providing an affordable EV option in the industry’s highest volume segment proves Chevy is going to make EVs available to everyone.”

Previewing the Equinox EV

At the world premiere of the Silverado EV, Chevrolet also released images of the all-electric crossover. With more dramatically sculpted sides for a sophisticated, futuristic look, the Equinox EV exterior appears to feature a sleeker and more modern updated look of the traditional Equinox.

The preview images suggest it will come in two trim levels: LT and RS. While the LT features a silver interior with a silver and black exterior color scheme, the RS model comes with a two-tone red and black interior adorned with screens that cover almost two-thirds of the dashboard. The RS is scheduled to be available Fall 2023, but availability for the LT is planned to be announced at a later date.

Leveraging the Power of GM’s Ultium Platform

Ultifi is GM’s software platform that will usher in a new era of software-defined vehicle experiences and services. It will enable seamless delivery of upgrades, personalization options, and new and exciting apps to drivers on demand, plus regularly pushed software improvements.
