General motors is gearing up to release a new off-roading model; the Chevy Silverado ZR2. Chevrolet is adding the off-road specific ZR2 trim level to the 2022 Silverado full-size pickup, as a mid-cycle refresh. If you are looking to head out and explore off-roading, this is the vehicle for you.

2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2: A Superior Chevy Off Road Truck

Whether you are tackling puddles, going over logs, or traveling through ravines, off-roading is possible in the new 2022 Silverado. The ZR2 package is already available on the Chevy Colorado, but now, the Silverado ZR2 with offer the same, specific off-road hardware. The changes will reportedly include an upgraded set of next-gen multimatic DSSV dampers, electronically locking differentials at both front and rear fascias that will provide better ground clearance. We expect the Silverado ZR2 will have an even higher lift with 35-inch tires. Additionally, the Silverado ZR2 is expected to include:

  • 2 liter L87 with VVT and Dynamic Fuel Management
  • 420 Horsepower and 460 lb-ft of Torque
  • 3.0 litre Duramax inline-6 (upgraded option)
  • Skid Plates
  • Red Recovery Hooks
  • New Grille Inset
  • Updated Crossbar

Chevrolet is expected to give the Silverado a refresh for the 2022 model year next fall.
