At Gordon Chevy Jacksonville, we’re your source for new and used cars orange park fl. Electric vehicles have been the trend and will continue to be a growing staple moving forward. Gordon Chevy is on top of the EV market. Chevy has announced the exciting 2024 Equinox EV and is expected to go on sales in the fall of 2023. Currently, there are two trims available: LT and RS, with an expected starting price of $30,000. However, Chevy may expand the lineup to offer a base LS or top-level Premier trim.
While the range and performance haven’t been set, the new Equinox will be powered by GM’s Ultrium platform. The Ultium platform and battery are capable of over 400 miles of range under the right applications. If so, we suspect the Equinox to have a 300 or even 400 plus mile range, which is much more than the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV.
The battery packs within the Ultium platform have a battery range of 50 kWh to 200 kWh with motor combinations ranging from 235 horsepower to 1,000 horsepower. And the new EV platform can function in front-wheel and all-wheel drive.
Exterior and Interior
The all-new Chevy Equinox EV features a sporty and bold design with a thin upper light strip up front and two lights underneath. Also, flared fenders in the front and wide haunches at the rear provide an athletic stance that looks more futuristic than the typical crossover SUV.
Inside the Equinox EV, it’ll share a similar design and technology with the Silverado EV. From the preview photos released, the EV will sport a sleek 17.0-inch center infotainment touchscreen along with an 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster.
Chevy’s Equinox EV will likely adopt the Safety Assist, a suite of high-tech safety features allowing you to drive confidently. Here are some of the technologies available in the Chevy Safety Assist:
- Lane keep assist and lane departure warning
- Front pedestrian braking
- Adaptive cruise control
- Rear park assist
- Forward collision alert and automatic emergency braking
- Following distance indicator
In addition to this safety package, it’ll offer other safety features like parking sensors, blind-spot warnings, and more. With the Chevy safety package, you can be confident that you and your family will be safe on the road.
As for tech, the 2024 Equinox EV could incorporate GM’s latest Super Cruise driver assistant system. This driver assistant technology allows users to drive hands-free and maintain a safe driving distance at all times. While it does require full supervision to use this technology, it has been upgraded with automatic lane changes and trailering capabilities. It also combines other safety features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and GPS data to ensure smooth operation. As of yet, the system is compatible with the 200,000 miles of compatible highways across the U.S. and Canada.
