What We Know About the ZR2 So Far 

A new and exciting addition to Chevrolet’s truck lineup, the Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 is a heavy-duty pickup with the off-road capability of the light-duty Silverado ZR2. It is expected to offer both the atmospheric 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine and the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax. 

The HD ZR2 is expected to get a host of upgrades that make it more capable off-roading. Upgrade will include new bumpers for better clearance, skid plates, heavy-duty dampers, and locking front and rear differentials. Along with larger tires, these new parts will improve the pickup’s ground clearance. 

The Next Chapter of Off-Roading 

The Chevy Silverado ZR2 features multimatic DSSV dampers, front/rear electronic locking differentials, and AN off-road cut front bumper. It’s the next chapter of off-roading. The first-ever Silverado ZR2 is designed with a package of exterior and chassis enhancements to increase off-road performance and capability.
