Chevrolet Introduces the Silverado ZR2 Bison

Chevy Silverado fans should be very excited—Chevrolet just announced an all-new special edition of the popular pickup: Silverado ZR2 Bison Edition. The result of a partnership with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), the Bison is a new take on the highly acclaimed Silverado ZR2. The Bison Edition was designed to bolster the truck’s off-road capability including rocker protection, unique skid plates, custom front bumper, and more. A pickup has never been so capable and versatile.

Charging Forward With the Bison 

Brand new on the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2, the Bison Edition offers a 6.2L V8 engine with 10-speed automatic transmission and everything you need to take on wild terrain. It will also feature 18-inch wheels in unique gloss black, a Multi-Flex Tailgate with unique matte black finish, rocker protection, a body colored grille, AEV Bison front and rear bumpers, AEV branded head restraints, black vertical front tow hooks, front and rear locking differentials, even more ground clearance, and a rocker panel.

A Powerful Partnership With AEV

A premium off-road aftermarket manufacturer, AEV has a strong track record for providing accessories that excel in overland expedition environments. The 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison quickly became the most popular special edition package offered with the Colorado ZR2. Similar to the Colorado ZR2 Bison development, AEV and GM engineers and designers collaborated on the tooling and design to bring forth the Silverado ZR2 Bison with unique overlanding componentry.

Taking the ZR2 to the Next Level

Bison customers will continue to enjoy ZR2’s amazing standard features, including a standard 6.2L V-8 engine with 10-speed automatic transmission that delivers 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque to power through tough terrains.

It will also include multimatic 40-millimeter DSSV spool-valve dampers; uniquely tuned springs that, with the multimatic dampers, increase maximum front and rear suspension travel, compared to the Silverado Trail Boss; front and rear e-lockers; and specific off-road chassis and suspension calibrations, including Terrain Mode, which allows one-pedal rock crawling.
