Chevrolet Bolt EV & EUV Are Back in Production

The Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV have officially restarted production. And they’ll be back in the market soon! General Motors recalled Bolts on a small-scale out of an abundance of caution to replace battery modules: defective lithium-ion battery modules in the Bolt EV and EUV will be replaced with new lithium-ion modules. And replacing batteries comes with some other new changes to the electric cars. Chevrolet is doing all it can to ensure driver safety and satisfaction.

New Changes to the Bolt 

With the Bolt EV and EUV’s resumed production, some new changes are coming to the electric utility vehicle. A new software update will allow owners to remove the parking and overnight charging limitations on their vehicles while Chevrolet works on building new battery cells. It will automatically set the vehicle’s maximum state of charge to 80%, allowing owners to safely resume charging indoors overnight; operating below 70 miles (113 km) of range, resulting in greater overall vehicle range compared to GM’s prior interim charging guidance; and parking indoors after charging.
