2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is the next generation of Chevy's full-size truck, built around new 5.7L and 6.6L V8
engines and a redesigned 7-trim lineup. It is expected to go on sale in late 2026 as the most powerful Silverado yet, with
changes that reach past the engines into an all-new exterior, a fully digital cockpit, and hands-free towing.
The trims run from the fleet-focused Work Truck to the off-road ZR2 and the premium High Country, so the truck that fits a job
site is a different build than the one that fits a weekend trail. For buyers across Northeast Florida weighing the new
generation against current stock, the questions that matter are timing, trims, and what each one is built to do.
The 2027 Silverado 1500 is a full redesign, not a refresh. Chevrolet rebuilt the powertrain lineup around new V8s, gave the
truck an all-new exterior with LED headlights and taillights and standard dual exhaust on Custom and above, and moved the
entire cabin to a digital display layout that is standard from the base trim up.
The trim structure changes too: there are now 7 trims, including 3 lifted off-road models, and the LT name becomes a trim
called simply Silverado. The result is a wider spread between the value end and the premium end, with more distinct off-road
and luxury choices in between. Pricing and the full specification sheet will be announced closer to launch.
Engines and Powertrains
The 2027 Silverado 1500 keeps 4 powertrain choices, led by 2 next-generation V8s. Buyers who want V8 power get more of it
without losing the option of a turbocharged four-cylinder or a diesel, so the engine choice still maps to how the truck gets
used.
New 5.7L V8: one of the 2 next-generation small-block V8s, built on more than 70 years of Chevy V8 development.
New 6.6L V8: the larger of the new V8s, and the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in the class.
2.7L TurboMax: the turbocharged four-cylinder, now paired with a 10-speed transmission and carrying the
highest standard torque in the class.
Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel: the diesel option, which remains the only one in the segment.
The 2 V8s are tuned across the lineup so even the Work Truck gets the durability that day-in, day-out fleet use demands.
The 7-Trim Lineup
The 2027 Silverado 1500 splits into 7 trims across 3 groups: value and work, off-road, and premium. Three of the 7 are
lifted off-road models, which is the biggest structural change from the current lineup.

At the top of the off-road group, the ZR2 also offers a Bison Edition developed with American Expedition Vehicles, which
adds AEV bumpers, 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, and a full set of skid plates protecting the front underbody, transfer
case, rear differential, and fuel tank. The High Country sits at the other end as the luxury build, with a panoramic sunroof
that is a first for Silverado and a choice of light or dark interior themes.
Technology, Displays, and Hands-Free Towing
Every 2027 Silverado 1500 ships with a digital cockpit, including a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver
information screen as standard equipment from the base trim up. On ZR2 and High Country, an 11.5-inch passenger screen, a
head-up display, and a rear camera mirror push the total past 60 inches of digital display.
The more useful change for truck owners is hands-free towing: Super Cruise can run hands-free while the truck is pulling a
trailer, which no other truck in the class offers. Available dual wireless charging and a reconfigurable Multi-Flex center
console round out the day-to-day upgrades.
If hands-free driving is new to you, it helps to understand how
Super Cruise works on Florida highways
before you settle on a trim, since the towing capability is the part that sets the Silverado apart here.
When It Arrives and How to Plan Ahead
The 2027 Silverado 1500 is expected to go on sale in late 2026, with pricing and full specifications announced closer to
launch. Until then, the right move depends on your timeline. Buyers who need a truck now can compare what the current
Silverado 1500 lineup offers, while those set on
the new V8s and the redesigned cabin can plan an order so the build is ready when production opens.
For buyers planning around the new model, a couple of steps make the wait easier. Building the exact configuration you want
through a factory order fixes your trim, powertrain, and options instead of waiting to see what lands on the lot. Our No
Bull Pricing approach keeps the buying side straightforward, so planning an order stays mostly about the truck rather than
the negotiation.
Handling the finance side early helps too. A
pre-qualification with no credit-score impact
tells you what you are working with, and knowing your trade's value now tells you how much truck you are actually planning
for. Start with a trade-in value estimate and bring the vehicle
in when you want a firm number.
It is expected to go on sale in late 2026. Pricing and full specifications will be announced closer to launch, so the
best way to be ready is to settle on a configuration ahead of time and have an order go in as soon as production opens.
Pricing has not been announced and will be released closer to the on-sale date. Once it is set, we can confirm the
figure for the exact trim and configuration you are considering, since options move the number more than the trim name
does.
Ordering opens closer to launch. You can get ahead of it by deciding on your trim and handling your finance and trade
details now, so the order can go in the day it becomes available rather than weeks later.
It offers 4. The lineup is led by 2 next-generation V8s, a new 5.7L and a new 6.6L, alongside the 2.7L TurboMax
four-cylinder now paired with a 10-speed transmission and the Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel. The 6.6L is the most powerful
naturally aspirated V8 in the class.
The engine matters more than the trim name. Towing capability tracks the V8 you choose, and any trim optioned with
Super Cruise gains hands-free driving that stays active while towing, which no other truck in the class offers.
Specific towing ratings by configuration will come closer to launch, and we will confirm the number on the exact build
you want.
The 2027 model is a full redesign. The biggest changes are the new V8 engines, an all-new exterior, a fully digital
interior that is standard from the base trim, and a 7-trim lineup that now includes 3 lifted off-road models. The LT
trim is also renamed and is now simply called Silverado.
