The Traverse does one better than the Durango by offering a 9-speed automatic transmission mated to a 3.6-liter V-6. Together this puts the Traverse at the higher end of its class in terms of quickness. The Traverse also handles like a much smaller and nimbler vehicle with the pedal down.
The Traverse has plenty of room for both cargo and passengers. Sorry, Ford Explorer, up to eight adults can ride in comfort and style in the Traverse. When all seats are dropped you have a lot of space and a lot of options for getting those groceries or gear around town.
