2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray
General Motors (GM) has recently unveiled the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, an electrified version of the C8 Corvette Z06. It boasts quicker acceleration, all-wheel drive options, and a hybrid powertrain.
At present, the Corvette E-Ray price is listed at $104,295 for the Coupe trim level and $111,295 for the Convertible trim, positioning it in the same upscale category as other Corvette models.

Performance
The Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray employs the identical 6.2L V8 LT2 engine without forced induction that can be seen in the Corvette Stingray. It can generate 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Besides, it integrates a front-axle electric motor that can produce 160 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. Consequently, the vehicle has a combined output of 655 horsepower.
The C8’s dual-clutch, the eight-speed automatic transmission, has also been upgraded with a new variant (RPO code MLH), which directs power from the gasoline engine to the rear wheels, while the electric motor powers the front wheels. This marks the first-ever implementation of an all-wheel drivetrain in the Chevy Corvette.
The C8 Corvette E-Ray hybrid includes a 1.9 kWh battery pack that is positioned between the seats and can recharge itself during regular driving and coasting or deceleration. This vehicle also comes equipped with a new Stealth Mode that permits the E-Ray to operate temporarily on electric power alone, reaching up to 45 mph. It’s especially beneficial for early-morning departures, as it helps reduce disturbance to nearby residents.
Exterior and Interior
The 2024 Corvette E-Ray has adopted the Z06’s wider body while featuring a distinct set of lightweight, twisted five-spoke alloy wheels available in four different finishes. Standard features include body-color accents, carbon flash badging, and black exhaust tips, while bright badging, Electric Blue body-length stripes, and carbon fiber ground effects are optional. Additionally, buyers can upgrade to carbon fiber wheels in one of three finishes.
In terms of interior design, the Corvette E-Ray doesn’t bring any significant changes from the Stingray or Z06 models. Nonetheless, it still offers a range of material options, including leather, imitation suede, and genuine metal trim. The interior’s driver-focused concept is emphasized by the tall separator that bisects the cockpit, on top of which is a bank of switches for the car’s climate-control system.
Safety and Technology
All 2024 model year Corvette E-rays come equipped with an enhanced suite of safety features that includes Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking.
The Corvette E-Ray employs a similar set of technologies to the rest of the C8 range, featuring an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A 10-speaker Bose audio system is expected to be standard, while a 14-speaker setup could be an optional upgrade. The E-Ray is also expected to include several other features, such as Chevrolet’s Performance Data Recorder track-oriented dashboard camera and a front nose lift kit with GPS-based automatic functionality that can be programmed with custom coordinates.
